Woods and brooks, and cows and books comprised so very much of my childhood years, and although many decades have passed since then, I seem to have come full circle. I still love brooks (and lakes) and lots of woods and have settled where I am surrounded by them all. My love for cows remains constant, and have had the joy of training my own team of oxen. As for books – and libraries – they have taken center stage. Reading (especially picture books, of course) is still a daily passtime for me. And writing? It goes way beyond a passtime; it can now most certainly be classified as a passion!
Woods and brooks, and cows and books…
A bee, a candle, and a prayer; a brook, a frog and an angel; earthquakes, hymns and processions; banquets, miracles and a red egg. Come meet my books and learn a bit about how they came to be.
As an author, sometimes I find my way to different parts of the country to meet people, read to children, sign my books, and teach workshops. It is one of my favorite things to do!
