Libraries, cows, brooks and woods defined my childhood. But although many decades have passed since then, I seem to have come full circle. I now write books as well as borrow them from libraries. I have had cows and trained a team of oxen. And after living in many parts of the U.S., I have settled in an underground house where brooks and lakes and plenty of woods surround me. Homeschooling children and grandchildren has been (and still is) a primary focus of my life. However, plans are being made and steps are being taken to build a gypsy vardo in which I will take to the road where I will continue my learning, discovering, and writing. (And who knows, perhaps make the acquaintance of a cow or two.)
I write my stories from my underground house and surround myself with things that have stories and with people who will tell me their stories (because I love stories).
Meet my books and learn a bit about how they came to be. There is one about a song; one about a saint; one about earth and heaven; and one about a girl, a bee, and a candle.
As an author, sometimes I find my way to different parts of the country to meet people, read to children, sign my books, and teach workshops. It is one of my favorite things to do!
